Problem
Paradox Shop's retail API currently runs on one Large application server connected to an existing PostgreSQL database. At 720 requests per second, the server is already operating at 90% CPU while memory remains healthy. Tomorrow's campaign is expected to generate 2,500 RPS continuously, with brief peaks of 3,000 RPS. Repair the application tier for this forecast. You may resize, replace, or add application servers and introduce one load balancer. The locked PostgreSQL database has sufficient capacity and must not be modified or replaced.
