Problem
Paradox Shop must serve 1,800 API requests per second while processing a scheduled backlog of 500,000 image-resizing and report-generation jobs. If batch work runs on the API servers, it consumes another 45% of their capacity and saturates the customer-facing service. Design separate compute paths for interactive API traffic and background jobs. The batch backlog must finish within 20 minutes.
