What this covers

This policy describes what Codeparadox, Inc. ("Code Paradox," "we," "us") collects when you use this site, why, and how you can access or delete it.

What we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google (or Apple, where enabled), we receive your email address, name, and profile image from that provider. We don't receive or store your password — authentication is handled entirely by the provider you choose.

Usage and progress data. As you use the site we record which problems you view, start, and complete; how many attempts a problem took and how long it took you; hints you opened; and similar product-usage events. Some of this is tied to your signed-in account, and some (like page views before you sign in) is tied only to an anonymous session identifier.

Subscription status. If you subscribe to Premium, we store which plan you're on and whether it's active.

Other in-app activity. Depending on which features are enabled at any given time, this can also include fictional "Story Mode" career data, spaced- repetition review answers ("Refresher"), or scored problem submissions — all tied to your account so your progress persists between visits.

How we use it

To operate the platform: save your progress, show your profile and stats, let you resume where you left off, and run the premium entitlement check. We also use aggregate usage data (not tied to your identity beyond an internal id) to see where learners get stuck and decide what to fix or build next.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers. Your sign-in is handled by Google (or Apple); that provider processes whatever is inherent to authenticating you. We use third-party infrastructure providers (hosting, database backups) to run the service — they process data only on our behalf, under our instructions, never for their own purposes.

Cookies

We use a single authentication cookie to keep you signed in between visits. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Usage events tied only to an anonymous session (not your account) may be retained longer for product analytics, since they aren't personally identifying on their own.

Your rights: access and deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from your Profile page, under "Danger Zone → Delete Account." This immediately and irreversibly removes your account, progress, subscription status, and any Story Mode or review history tied to it. It can't be undone. You can also reach us directly (see Contact below) with any question about what we hold on you.

Children's privacy

Code Paradox isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Code Paradox after a change means you accept the updated policy.
